iPod touch iPod Touch Problem?!

I have a 3rd gen ipod touch 32gb. And after every 3/4 clicks it completely freezes. I hol down both the power and home button to restore but still after 2 or 4 clicks it freezes up.

I tried dfu mode and it restored the ipod but same problem. How much do you think apple would charge to fix it? I dont have applecare..

Any suggestion or feedback is much appreciated.

Um what does that mean. It updated the firmware to 4.1...

When you restore the device, you had the option to restore as a new device or from a backup. Which one did you choose?
