iPod touch ipod touch radio/ radio remote?

does anyone know why apple never include an in-built radio in any of their ipods? this is the one feature that has always held me back from buying an ipod, as i listen to a lot of radio. the radio remote headphones are just not the same as it limits the headphones you can use. in any case the radio remote does not even work for the ipod touch...

Probably because they would be no reason to buy an IHome. All those companies pay rights to Apple to make those radio/speakers. If you had a radio on your Ipod you wouldn't need any of those devices. I am not saying you won't see a radio in a ipod down the road.

royalty payments make a lot of sense...thx...still means we don't get all we can with the ipod touch
