I've been eyeing the apple refurbished store for some time now with the intent of purchasing an 8GB touch. Right before I was about the pull the trigger, they went out of stock. Does anyone know how long it usually takes them to get more of these in? Is there a particular day that they refresh the store?

its completely random. check in the mornings that's normally when apple updates the site

if you are stuck on the refurb route, at least get a 16 gig touch.

check back every day. They reload the store generally at midnight eastern time US.

There is an Apple Store widget that checks the store on a regular basis and lists the daily "deals." You can find it at Apple-Discounts.com.

I used it when I was looking for a new (refurb) MBP.

Thanks for all the replies. I kept checking every morning and found an 8GB with the original software for $230 today. Jumped on it. As much as I would like a 16GB, I'm going for the most economic choice . 8 gigs is enough for me. Anyways, thanks again all.
