Hi guys,

I have a 1st gen ipod touch that was put through the washing machine a while ago and I have only just got round to sorting it. The ipod turns on and I get a clear image it just seems that the touch screen is not responding, I have recieved a quote for the repairs but fear that there might be more problems that i just cant see.

So before I decide to shell out for the repairs I was wondering if there is any way for me to check if the wifi, mp3 or standard components like that work?

You could try to see if your router can detect it possibly, as for the rest of it you might have to plug it in to a computer.

Aside from that... Why bother repairing? A broken 1G seems like a good excuse to get a new one, unless the repairs are quite cheap...

Old!

The iPod touch originally came out in like 2008. Why not buy a new one? This can be your excuse! Unless you don't want it to be. ;)
