I recently upgraded to iTunes 10, and am experiencing two things that didn't happen before.

My iPod Touch 1st gen now takes a very long time to backup. It used to take no time at all. It is rather annoying because I cannot update on the fly anymore.

Also, everytime I sync with iTunes, and then go to use the Music feature on my iPod Touch, it has to "sync the library which my take a few minutes". This happens even if I don't add any new songs or material to the iPod Touch.

Anyone else experiencing these problems or know how to rectify them?

Am I the only one experiencing this?

I suppose it might be time to upgrade

My 1st gen always took forever to backup. I just used a tweak to turn automatic backup off every time it syncs. You can still backup manually by right clicking on the iPod in iTunes.

I haven't had the updating library problem though, mine only does that when I actually add or remove songs.

But I just upgraded to the 4th gen, and man is it fast. If you upgrade, you definitely won't be disappointed!
