ipod touch suddenly stuck in dfu?

my ipod touch died last night, and when i put it on the charger, and it turned back on, it was suddenly in dfu, it even has the lock sign on the top, like its on but in dfu...very weird..i didnt try anything new, it was jailbroken way before, all that happened was it died, and now its in dfu? help plz..id consider restoring, but i have alot of stuff on it, so if you can help plz id appreciate it. i can even take screenshot and see the little battery on the top right??
