Hey all,
I'm going to be getting an iPhone 3G once they're released, so I've been thinking of uses for an old iPod touch that will mainly sit at my desk and not do anything. I was thinking about using the Terminal app (from Google Code) in landscape mode, with the keyboard hidden, to run a system monitor of sorts to show me vital stats on my Mac, my Linux servers, etc. Something that immediately comes to mind is just SSHing into the computer and running top. Unfortunately, you can only SSH into one computer at a time. I would like to be able to monitor multiple computer statistics (CPU usage, RAM, HD space) in more or less realtime, but I don't know how to do this, much less on the iPod touch's limited screensize (19 vertical lines in landscape with the keyboard hidden).
Any ideas for making this system monitor?
