What do you guys think of the possibility of iPod Touch being renamed to just iPod? From my perspective the name made sense when they introduced it since the touch user interface was something of a novelty at the time. But now it just seems a normal feature that comes standard with a modern device.

There is no practical value to changing the name of the iPod Touch. So it's not very likely to happen.
They could always call it the iTouch.... J/K. I wouldn't expect a name change since there has already been quite a bit of marketing for the iPod Touch.
No, unless apple decide to have only one type of ipods out.
