iPod touch iPod touch turns off/turns on abruptly after 4.0.2

Hi Guys,

Ever since I updated my ipod touch to 4.0.2, my ipod touch turns black and blinks showing the lock screen and turning black again. Then it shows "slide to power off" screen. When i press cancel, it of course takes me back to the "enter passcode screen" , lets me enter the code and then again the screen turns black and the whole thing repeats.

Is it because of somekind of bug in the update? Is there a way to fix it? My ipod touch has just been unusable after 4.0.2 update.
