iPod touch ipod touch update

if u havent noticed already the ipod touch costs a 100 dollars more than the iphone. so i was wondering cuz i wanted to buy an ipod touch, when they will come out with an update.

It's anyone's guess. Some have suggested a time coinciding with the July 11 release of the iPhone 3g, and some think it may be as long as September/October when the rest of the iPod line is (long over)due for a refresh.

Forget about the update...I'm just trying to upgrade mine!!

I bought a $25 iTunes card today and finally decided to "Buy" the $19.99 "January Software Upgrade" to unlock for my 8GB iPod touch v 1.1.4 so I can have Mail, Maps etc. and I can't find it anywhere in iTunes?!? Did Apple pull it in preparation for v 2.0?

I also hate hearing people say iTouch...kinda creepy.

yea apple pulled it. but it's rumored that it will now be included with 2.0
