iPod touch iPod Touch Warranty

I guess this applies to all iPods, but is there a way I can pay for the extended warranty later instead of buying it with the iPod. I'm sure I would have to do it before the current warranty expires, but I don't want to spend too much money for the iPod Touch and its accessories.

You can buy AppleCare up to 364 days after you buy the device.
