Hello,

My iPod touch was recently put in the washing machine. My iPod is still usable, but there is still water under the screen. How would I be able to get rid of the water underneath the screen? Also my iPod plays the sound to a headphone even though there are no headphones connected. How can I fix this?

Thank you.

Thank you.

You'd have to replace the screen. Also since it was submerged underwater, I doubt you'll be able to fix the headphones problem. You'll probably have to replace the logic board and I'm not sure how much logic boards cost.

Mine went through the wash a couple years ago and the screen had water in it and wouldn't display anything although the iPod still functioned. I put it in a bag of rice and two weeks later it started working again! The headphone issue could be caused by water shorting something out. I recommend trying the rice method and see what happens. Give it time. My iPod touch is still going strong although battery life decreased significantly after this.
