iPod touch iPod Touch Week 41 Speaker issue

I bought mine today, the SNis 1D741..... I GUESS That's week 41.

I'm having a problem playing audio through the speaker. Anyone else have this problem? I have tried the speaker setting for sound effects as well as "both" and neither setting works. I've also turned the volume up.

Any suggestions of what I can do from here? Software is 1.1.1

It's certainly not a big deal for me, but just knowing that my iPod is "imperfect" is a problem for me.

Unless I'm mistaken, the iPod touch does not come with a built-in speaker, that's only the iPhone...

you're right it doesn't come with a built in speaker.

Thanks guys. I had been looking for the built in speaker all night!!

It does click however when I tap something, and the General Settings have an option to have Sound through Headphones, Speaker, or both.

As stated, the touch doesn't have a speaker. It has a "clicker" that can make rudimentary sounds, but that's it.

I've actually translated an mp3 to the iPod's "clicker" file format and it played. I could make out what song it was, but that was about it
