Hello,
I am a new to posting, I searched around and didn't see a similar topic, so sorry if this has come up. Is there a wireless device that you can use to keep the iPod Touch connected to the internet while traveling? It works fine when there is an available source to connect to, but something that hooks into the iPod itself would be great. Kinda like a WiFi jump drive from a carrier....
Thanks.

No. the closest thing to that is a MiFi 3G Router from Verizon Wireless. No such thing that you can plug into the device itself. Sorry.

A possible solution (but expensive)

Hi,
I don't know if in America, you can purchase 3g data dongles which connect to the internet over 3g and allow you to get the internet on your laptop by plugging in a usb 3g stick. This solution may be a little expensive, but if you're thinking of getting a laptop soon, this may work. If you have or buy a Macbook, and one of these 3g usb dongles, you could plug this into your Macbook. This gives you internet on your Macbook. But then if you also wanted to use the iPod touch for the internet/app store or whatever, in OS X, you can set the macbook to be a wi-fi transmitter by sharing the internet connection over airport. Therefore you could receive internet connection on your Macbook wirelessly as well as having internet on your iPod touch. I know its a little long winded, but if you have a Macbook already or are planning to get one, this may be a better option if you have the 3g usb dongles in the US.

Hope this Helps

you can do this in vista as well. Although vista makes it harder....
