iPod touch Ipod Touch wont connect to itunes

i just bought a ipod touch 8gb and when i connect it to itunes it gives me this
iTunes could not connect to the iPod "iPod" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000025).
can anybody help me with this?

Reinstall iTunes and restart. If that doesn't work, make sure your user account contains only standard ASCII characters.
