iPod touch iPod touch won't connect with iTunes,

lol, you NEED 10.4.10, you can return it now, or update your OS. or use it on a windows machine
The iPhone required 10.4.10, that might be your problem. Look on the back of the box under "Requirements".
since you cant do anything without hooking it up, could i sync it to a friends computer for now, then when i get the update, use the ipod on my computer?

Sounds plausible. You would have to put your iTunes account info on your friends computer to go through the registration process I believe.
Only if you want to setup the iTunes Wi-Fi store...otherwise you can skip that part.

Yes, I'm running 10.4.10 and iTunes 7.4.1.
The ONLY way I can get my iPod Touch to sync with iTunes is if I have it unplugged and iTunes unopen. I plug in the Touch and iTunes opens, then starts to sync.
If iTunes is open and I plug the Touch in, it freezes iTunes and I have to force quit. If the iTouch is then still plugged in and I launch iTunes, it freezes and I have to force quit.
The only thing I can think of is that it's yet another iTunes bug (though doubtful since no one else is reporting this) OR it's an issue with plugging it into a USB 1 port since I don't have USB 2 on my 6-year-old G4.
Ideas?

Sync Problems
HELP!!!
I bought my new touch and tried it first on a friends computer and set it up and worked fine...
Now I'm back home and I updated itunes and plug in my touch...and NOTHING happens!!!
I know for sure the USB ports are working fine
and downloaded and installed latest version of itunes
on my win xp computer
what could be the problem?

My iPhone locks up iTunes as soon as I plug it in. I tried to reinstall iTunes and start fresh. Still no luck. Anyone have the link to the 7.4.1 download? I can not find it on here for the life of me...
Please tell me you didn't just say that... (thats literally asking "where can I get a pirated copy", without admitting it).
In any case I have an older Ipod Video (30GB), was working fine a sec ago, now it won't mount to the harddrive or to itunes despite saying "Do Not Disconnect".
