Hi all,

I've searched all over every forum and even spoken to the guys at Apple and nobody can help so please bare with me if this is a long post!

A couple of weeks ago I bought an iPod Touch. I brought it home and it would not sync to iTunes, and came up with messages that said
"Attempting to copy to the disc "iPod name" failed. An error occurred while writing to the device" AND
"iPod cannot be synced. The required disc cannot be found." and then also another one about and unknown error occurring (error -20).

Apple could not sort this out and replaced the iPod. However, the 2nd one has the exact same problem. This lead me to think it was my computer, not my iPod, with the problem. Tried it out on boyfriend's computer and it syncs with no problems. On MY computer, iTunes recognizes and charges the iPod, but cannot sync music onto the iPod. However, Apps which i downloaded wirelessly straight onto my iPod have synced and transferred onto iTunes with no problem.

I am running Windows XP and have all the system requirements listed on the iPod Touch box thing. I have tried different USB cords, ports, etc. I have restored the iPod, I have reinstalled iTunes, done everything that I've seen suggested on any forum, Apple wedbsite, and spoken to Apple Care.

Boyfriend suggested upgrading to Windows 7 (because that's what he has and iPod works on his computer) but will that help? Because it will still be the same computer (sorry I don't know much about how this stuff works!) I had no trouble syncing my old iPod nano with this computer.

If you've made it this far thanks for reading and any suggestions are greatly appreciated :)
