Hey guys,

My 1st gen Touch was working fine, then I went to turn it on and it was dead. Tried charging it, but the only thing that happened was the bottom got hot, which had never happened before... It's not the screen, as it won't work properly with my iPod Dock which it would if the screen was bust. I'm wondering if it's the battery. I hope it is, because you can change them quite easily (I think).

Thanks In advance :)

What does holding sleep/wake button and home button for an extended period of time do?

What happens when you connect it to your computer?

Neither method does anything :( The only thing that happens when I plug it in to the computer is the bottom gets hot again. What are the symptoms of the battery breaking? Thanks :)
