iPod touch iPod touches shipping tomorrow!

I'm not sure, because someone said they bought a touch from an Apple store today who just got the shipment. He has claimed that there is NOTHING wrong with it. But ours were packaged a while ago so I cant really say.

I'd hope they would have figured that out by now. Find what serial # range has suspect screens and remove them from the lot.

Or else Fedex will be getting a lot of business with all the returns.

yay! I've checked my order status probably 5 times today and it still says: prepared for shipment. So if it ships tomorrow I should hopefully have it by Thursday :)
 
i dont know if this is routine but right now the order status feature is down for upgade:)
 
Yes I am getting the same thing on the Aussie store. Although it has happened a number of times since I ordered my Touch so I am not going to get my hopes up too high.

edit: but when I go on apple and sign on to check the status it gives me this



so probably nothing to do with the orders being shipped now.
 
order status is back up, still prepared for shipment. so much for that, hopefully by the time i wake up it'll be shipped...
 
Order status view back online, no changes at all, and no charge to my card. FWIW, Ever since I pre-ordered mine on the 5th, it has said Prepared for Shipment on the order status site.

By the way, Apple pulls crap like this all of the time, but they usually make up for it if you complain. I whined to Steve about the crossgrade for Logic Express being discontinued, thus leaving me in limbo, and he sent me an unopened box of Logic 7.2 discs.

If you actually read most of those comments you'll find out that most people who have called in to apple have been told that the ipod touch's are packed and just ready to be picked up by fedex :)

Also, even though it says that your order is not shipped yet is because they've been so busy that they have been really slow at updating peoples order statuses.

lets not forget that pickups dont usually happen this late or early(for us new yorkers)
 
the store is down because there gettin rid of the buy a mac get a nano deal
its nothin to do with shipping
