and another one...this is a photo of the small TV monitors that are above each door and playing iPod commercials...
Hate those banners hanging from the ceiling. There would be so little headroom left for people who need to stand. Luckily the people are Japanese. In The Netherlands, the adverts would be in everybody's face.

I am just on 6 feet tall and there is still a comfortable couple of inches till I hit the banners on the JR lines, but some of the older subways are smaller carriages (not as bas as London's Tube) and i have to dodge the occasional hanging avert.
I guess if I were well over 6 feet talk it would truly be 'in your face advertising'
