iPod unmounted...won't re-mount..

OK..a couple of weeks ago, my iPod unmounted itself....I've tried tossing out the prefs for the iPod & iTunes...nothing...tried making a new user...still didn't mount. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks...

I think it's Apple's latest Firewire bug they have released.... does your iPod work in USB? Mine does, just not firewire, annoying, as it worked prior to updates...

You know something, you've posted the same thing in several threads. How about posting useful suggestions? Like how to reset the iPod and how to re-initialize the iPod if reseting it doesn't work?

Not everything is a firewire bug.

Look at Apple Knowledge Base article #61705 and if that doesn't work, at the bottom of that article is a link to an article on how to restore the iPod.
