hi i just signed up because i need help.i have a ipod touch 3g with greenpoison 4.2.1 jailbreak and i cant download any apps because they need newer ios.How can i get from 4.2.1 to ios 6 evasion(or whatever its called) untethered jailbreak without erasing my music?

The highest a 3G can go is 5.1.1. Back it up with iTunes, and hit restore. I will warn you that iOS 5 will lag on this device, but go ahead and restore from backup, and jailbreak with redsn0w
