hey people, hope someone can help me a little.
i did give a quick search for what i was looking for but it only give me 2 results which didnt give any answers so sorry if this kind of question has already been asked.

right..
when i plug my iPod in, iTunes automatically updates it with my library, which is what it's supposed to do.
but i didn't want it to do this everytime so i turned it off in the preferences to manuually upload my songs. the problem is when i choose this option there is no button or anything to tell it to update when i want it too.
if i click on 'file' it says 'update iPod' but it's greyed out.
that means i have to go the preferences and click on 'automatically update" so it'll do anything.

how do i do what i want? what am i doing wrong?
thanx
