I've been trying to figure this out for a while. Is there any difference between the 5G and 5.5G iPod Video's TV-Out quality?

I know the built-in screen resolution has been increased, but I'm interested in the TV-Output's resolution.

The iPod's built-in screen has not increased, it's still 320x240. The quality of the video output to TV is exactly the same across both models. The current iTunes video specs are 640x480 where they used to be 320x240. The iPod simply scales down the image.

Both 5G and 5.5G have the ability to output 640x480 H.264 video to a TV.

hmmm... Thanks. I'll have to keep an eye out for the next refurb'd 60Gb.
