my ipod nano 8g got dropped in a lake and was underwater for a good minute until i could get it off the bottom. i was stupid and pressed all sorts of buttons when it was wet before it dried out. but it is working ok now except that when its not plugged into my computer, it thinks it is still plugged in and says "charged" all the time which drains the battery im going to try to get it replaced but does anyone know if ipods have a water damage indicator like cell phones that will screw my warranty up? i was reading the warrany thing and it says it doesn't cover damage due to extreme environments including extreme humidity. but anywho, i want to know if they have that indicator before i send it in and waste my money.

They'll be able to tell that it spent a minute at the bottom of a lake, water indicator or not... they aren't stupid. I wouldnt bother sending it in.
