My ipod will only charge when attached to my computer. It use to be able to charge on my ipod compatible car stereo and on my ipod boombox but not anymore. Is there a way to fix this? Is

FYI, i know its a problem with my ipod because i've already tried connecting a different ipod to my car stereo and it'll charge it... but not mine. :( Also, i've even tried restoring my ipod and that won't fix my problem.

This really sucks. i hate that when my ipod battery dies I have to listen to the radio.

Which iPod do you have? IIRC apple changed the charging wiring at some point (I think around Touch Gen II). Old chargers no longer worked with the new iPod touches (and maybe others as well).

My guess is new boombox will fix your problem. The car may require a headunit upgrade to get it to charge (or a new car charger and just use the headphone jack to connect to the stereo).
