my battery is fine there is a problem with the dock connector on the bottom
to get my ipod to charge i have to lean it against something, and i have to make sure it is charging every 5 min to see if it's still charging
i am luky to even get it to charge it at all
i bought it in december 2007 without apple care
will they help me if i go to an apple store?

The apple store will probably be able to tell you what is wrong, but they won't fix it for free. You probably bent a pin/connector or something.

will thay fix it if i pay for it?
or do i hav 2 buy a new 1

Honestly, it can't be that hard to speak properly. To answer your question, they will probably be able to fix it, but the price of the repair may make it more cost effective to just replace it. It depends on how bad it is. Maybe their is just lint of something in the connector.

It probably would not cost much to fix. My Blackberry did the same thing when charging, and my provider fixed it for free and they charge for anything they can, and I bought my Blackberry used, not from them.
