iPod iPod won't play songs

Everything acts normally in my 30gb iPod (5G), but when I go to select a song it stays at 0:00 and wont play. I have gone through the five R's and even restored several times. Anybody got any ideas?

That's very unusual. An iPod that doesn't play music completely defeats it's purpose I think your best bet is to take it to an apple store and have them check it out.

Where did you get your music from?

i mainly download music from private torrent trackers

i went ahead and bought a refurb 160gb ipod from apple.com, my 30gb was filled up anyways. i think its dead.
