iPod iPod won't play video

I have a new 5g ipod 30gig. I get an error message everytime video podcasts and videos are attempted transfer. Is this normal?
Does anyone have suggestions?

Also:
1. I have a PC
2. I have the latest version of iTunes

I experience similar issues when transfering some mp4 video files bigger then 100MB, is it something to do with iTUNE that limited users to transfer entire movies?

it tells me its not compatable, and that I should see their website about buying quicktime pro to make movies that do. Oh and QT pro doesnt work.
