I was just playing BreakClassic on my iPod Touch and it randomly switched off. I tried to switch it back on by pressing the sleep button and tried the home screen button but it didn't work.

I have tried to restore it but I just get an error message saying "There was a problem downloading the iPod software for the iPod "Michael's iPod Touch". The requested resource was not found"

I was thinking about taking it to the apple re-seller that I bought it from but I don't have the receipt and I doubt they'll fix it for me. My other option it to take it to the new Apple store in the city center but as I didn't buy it from there will they offer to replace it or fix it?

If it's still under warranty the apple store will fix it.

Yep it came with a free years warranty. But I didn't buy it from Apple, is this a problem?
