i have an ipod touch and i was deleting all the stuff off it and someone turned it off as it was deleting stuff now it wont turn back on can anyone help???

This happened to me too - I think either holding the home button for a good 10 seconds works...or holding the home and hold buttons concurrently if that doesn't work.

Hope that helps!

like the apple shows up but then it goes black again

Ah. Well this happened to mine as well, but that's because my hold button is extremely finicky and it would shut my iPod off when it was trying to start up. Maybe this is happening to you, too?

thanks i got it to work and do u no if u can fix a blown amp in the ipod without spending money or buying a new one

Well.........no :p

I would suggest bringing it to an Apple Store. They'll know what to do, and hopefully you'll be covered with the protection plan. Otherwise, I don't think it'll be more than what a new iPod would cost.
