My Ipod 15GB 3rd Gen will work perfectly fine on my PC. But when I plug it into my Imac, it does nothing. Is there a driver or something I need to download? I have the latest version of itunes. Should I try to get a firewire cable or something?

keep in mind that your 3g ipod is formatted for windows use, so it takes some time before the ipod to get familiarized with the mac.
have you tried resetting your ipod (menu, center button) with your ipod connected into the mac? it took my ipod about 3 or 4 times before the mac recognized it.

Philberttheduck is right, it takes a little longer for the Windows-formatted iPods to be recognised in OSX. Nevertheless, try a different port on the Mac.
