I'm about to get an iPod (finally)... Is it worth it to buy it from a physical store (e.g. CompUSA) and get a protection plan? It sounds like people have been having fairly good experience dealing directly with Apple, meaning getting one of those plans may be a waste.
But maybe the store protection plans make replacement quicker, or cover more damages?
I have the options of: going to a semi-local Apple Retail Store, purchasing thru the Apple Store for Education, or going to a CompUSA-type place.
