iPod touch ipodtouch connect to itunes? problem

Hi um i new to the forums and ive been playing with my ipodtouch for somtime and when i connec it to itunes theres a new update i downloaded the update and a problem occured and now my ipod shows the USB drive and itunes please help? i tried connecting to itunes and it still shows that
