iPP 9.7 and magic keyboard?

Based on the Apple site I know the iPP 9.7 is not compatible with the magic keyboard but has anyone tried to see if it would work? I'm not familiar with the magic keyboard so it the magnets that are needed so it holds in place and is there any connection needed from the ipad with the keyboard (smart connector?)

The connections are not compatible whatsoever. There's no way to connect the two.
