IPS LCD Gaming Performance

I'm sure you're aware the new MacBook Pro uses an IPS panel. I've heard there are problems with refresh rates and input lag... Can a knowledgable party comment?

This really isn't an issue anymore in 2012. Input lag is really, really minimal on modern IPS displays.

You aren't going to notice it unless the IPS panel is a very cheap one, which it doesn't seem that Apple used a cheap panel, given what AnandTech has shown about it so far.
