After years of using AMOLED/SAMOLED displays which do exhibit some level of image persistence, I was lead to believe that IPS panels were far less susceptible to image persistence compared to AMOLED.

I've now got 2 phones with IPS panels (Nexus 4/iPhone 4) and I'm annoyed to see my iPhone 4 is suffering from image persistence of the keyboard on grey backgrounds already. Considering I barely use the iPhone and the fact it's just over 3 months old, can I expect my Nexus to exhibit the same issue at all?

I'll be very disappointed in IPS displays if they suffer like this over such a short period of time with so little usage.

I've had no problems with my 4s in this regard. Perhaps you should talk to somebody in Apple. Perhaps this is a little off the point, but I thought the expected life of the AMOLED is much less than IPS. I fso, it might hit the resell value of AMOLED phones.
