IPSF update

Please can anyone out there tell me if I can update my phone. It was purchased on the first day of release and I unlocked it with iPhoneSimFree. I am still using 1.0.2 firmware but want to update to 1.1.1 Can I do it and then unlock with iUnlock or one of the other software programs that are free. I don't want to risk bricking my phone can anyone please help me on what I need to do.

Once unlocked with IPSF the sim stays unlocked so that's not a problem. You just have to activate, which is getting much simpler these days.. I expect that jailbreakme.com already does it for you.
