Does anyone know of one (and where I could get one) that is 10.4 compatible? This is supposedly hit or miss, and I don't want to just be buying and trying, so your help would be appreciated.

I know this has come up once or twice, but I've also never heard of anyone succeeding with this. :(

Is there any possibility of using a Windows IRDA adaptor and Parallels, if you have an Intel Mac?

Here's a discussion:

Or else.... I dunno. It's only going to get worse, as IRDA has been largely dead for several years now. I used it in the first year I had my Nokia 3650 (2003), but only because my work Thinkpad had no Bluetooth. I actually did pick up a USB dongle at that time for Windows, because it was on sale for next to nothing, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't one that worked on Macs.

hhmmm interesting. parallels would pretty much pick it up. install drivers and select it, it has to!!!

not sure about the mac issue tho, like if there are any updated/moded drivers??
