irealSMS will not play sms tone, only vibrates!

I have all my necessary sound settings on, but for some reason it only vibrates when i receive a text. It doesn't do the standard, "you have a text from so and so." Anyone come across this issue?

Also I uninstalled irealsms but for some reason i still have the quick send option that irealsms offers.

Finally figured it out! there was an issue with my volume buttons. My volume appeared to be all the way up on the screen, but was not in actuality. Had to keep pressing the plus button even though my screen showed full volume.

Looks like the sound issue is back! Again, my sms tone will not play when i receive a message and only vibrates. What the hell is going on? I can't believe I'm going to have to uninstall this app...which i paid 13 bucks for. what a rip off! I wonder if it is because I'm using poof to hide my stock sms...I shall see in a moment.
