irecovery download issues

My iPhone is in recovery mode & I have tried downloading iRecovery as I am trying to save some photos that were on my phone. When ever I download irecovery & go to Terminal it keeps saying program nit found after I type
iRecovery - s
what am I doing wrong? What can I do?
I'm not a mac expert but can follow directions.

Make sure the library was installed.

Make sure you are in the directly where the file is. And type ./irecovery -s
