Iridium connection for iPhone / iPad

I work in a remote part of the world and are looking at setting up some of our documentation onto an iphone or ideally an iPad. This would allow submission of simple data (really a few kb) that is required asap back at head office.


Currently we have an iridium 9505 satphone - no modem as yet.

Is there a way of sending receiving emails from iPhone/iPad via Iridium?
