Hi chaps

Would the Iris Pro be okay running Logic Pro X on a Dell 27 monitor off the thunderbolt port or would the 750 be the better option? Would the Iris Pro eat into the cpu usage? I need as much cpu grunt as possible.

Since the Iris Pro uses system memory, it's better to go for the 750m for music production.

Yes, when the GPU is under load (no matter how much load), it will use RAM and also dictate how much power the CPU will draw. If the iGPU is under even half a load, then the CPU will be gimped by not reaching even non-turbo speeds which can kill performance. Can't say for sure it'll affect music production but you want the CPU as idle as possible as to not introduce latency which , as you know, is bad for audio.. so I think I would go with the 750m.
