Hello.

I have a 15" MacBook Pro (2.53GHz, Unibody) and sometimes the keys to set the keys on illumination don't work and the following appears when pressing those illumination brightness keys:

Does anyone know what this means and how it can be properly solved, without sleeping the machine for a longer period of time (which seemed to work)?

Thanks in advance.

it means that the illumination is turned off. if you press the button again, it will be turned back on

Thanks kaybee.

Strange, as it happened in the same room, with no lighting change.

WTH. It's bright enough.

@ uicandrew: That doesn't work.

The computers sensor is picking up too much light so you cant turn it up. Get Lab Tick if you want more control, or turn off the light sensor preferences in your system preferences.
