I have a MacBook5,1 (aluminum unibody late 2008) with 4 GB of RAM and a 64 GB SSD. I only have 18.8 GB left, is that enough to keep Mavericks running efficiently?

Shouldn't be a problem. If I were getting an SSD as my main drive though I probably would have gone with at least 128gb
I couldn't afford a larger one, but I replaced the SuperDrive with a 160gb hd for storage. I transferred everything except the apps to the 160gb and I now have 31gb free.
