Is 2-3 timeframe "legitimate"?

I ordered the 6s Plus 64gb Rose Gold iPhone today...Sim free. I was hoping the dates would look a little better by now, but I'm still seeing 2-3 weeks. Has anyone who ordered recently gotten that same date frame, but gotten their date changed to a sooner time? I tried checking out the preorder threads but it all seems like folks who ordered the night preorders started.

I am just hoping and praying to the Apple gods it comes a bit sooner. That would be amazing.

Yes shipping time can change and you can expect it sooner. When I ordered the Apple Watch when it was 1-2 weeks wait, mine actually shipped the next day. But as the supply is catching up to it's demand, I would assume that it would ship earlier.

I hope it comes sooner... 3 weeks is a long time to wait. Blah.
