Is 2013 MBP 13" upgradeable

Hello,

I haven't looked into the retina MBPs much over the past year but I am now interested in picking up the base model 13". Can RAM and SSD be upgraded in the 2013 13"? Its odd there is no upgrade option for the SSD and I would like to do it myself.

not RAM, as it is soldered on. SSD is, but there are currently no third party selling them yet, and most here believe they will be pretty expensive when they do come out.. usual for new tech and SSD.

i was planning on getting the base at first, but now i think the best value is to just get the 8gb 256gb option.

thanks for the info. That just killed my dreams of buying the low one and upgrading myself. I really wish the ram was upgradeable, sadly this is the trend for all models at this point
