No,
I wouldn't pay over $200 for a 2G now and would try to barter down to $150. It still goes back to the warranty left on the iphone. That's just me though. I believe there are a lot of people on ebay selling for a lot more. Check out your local craigslist. I've seen them for $200 there.

It would go on eBay for $300-350. It's hard to find one in good condition for less than that. Unless you're willing to wait for the prices to drop (and they will, but don't know when) that's a "good" deal compared to what's out there.

I wouldn't expect to pay anything under $200 anytime soon (unless it has a cracked screen). That's just dreaming.

yea it was bought in april 08 so its 2nd gen and the warranty is still valid and he has the paper work. i dont feel i should pay over 200 hundred, but hey ill pay the extra 50 for a pristine 8gb phone with purchase paper work

You mean 1st Gen / 2G.

It sounds like a great price for the old iPhone....if it were a few months ago. Why wouldnt you want to get the new one? I sold my old 8GB iphone for $330 and was pretty happy with how much it went for. If you want it that bad, go for it.

Don't Do it, just get a 3G. why would you spend $250 when you could get a 3g for $199.

If it's US dollars then YES. Ebay is dropping those for at least 400 and will probably go up as the new ones become more common and the old ones more scarce.

Remember we have an entire planet who wants them and 3G might not matter to most because of coverage issues.

Also with the dollar tanking more people over seas will be willing to dump 200 bucks in lets say Euro's compared to someone in the US dumping 400 etc.. you get the point hehe.
