I am a new AT&T customer as of purchasing my iPhone 4 via walk-in yesterday. I haven't had a chance to do a whole lot yet outside of my own Wi-Fi, but when I did try to visit a few websites on 3G it seemed rather slow compared to my past experiences with friends' smart-phones.

So, not being familiar with AT&T 3G prior to the madness, has anyone noticed a decrease in speed?

My iPhones antenna won't hold a signal so no comment on it.

My BlackBerry Bold is fast as ever, so no I'm not experiencing any slowdown. Despite a huge number of iPhone 4 activations, AT&T has reported over 75% are upgrades. Thus the extra units do not exceed the number that AT&T is prepared for.

Okay then chances are I just need to give it another shot. 1-2 websites wasn't enough to warrant it slow, I guess.

I noticed a slow down as well on 3G with 5 bars( and not touching the troublesome left lower seam).
