Yes its a real good deal if you don't care for the retina display.

If you need the space, yes.
If not, go get the 16gb so you get the 1 year warranty.

The retina display will only be noticable if you have the iPad 3 inches or closer to your face.

Good deal for the seller. Considering you can buy new with warranty for a little more than used with no warranty.

go to www.mac2sell.net to find out. I would offer somewhere between the price of a refurb at www.refurb.me and the price at mac2sell

I wouldn't pay more than $350

Lol, you're so terribly wrong. So very very wrong, you sound like you just bought an iPad 2 so you are trying to trash the new iPad. How can you try and talk down a 2048x1536 9.7" screen?

Honestly, and I am not slating the iPad 2, because I have loved my iPad 2, it STILL is fantastic. However, when I upgraded from the 3GS to the iPhone 4, and then looked at my old 3GS a few months later, it was unbearable. It looked really bad compared to the retina display. I think something similar will happen with the iPad 2 as well.

LOL. What in the world were you smoking when you posted this?
I live in reality and don't need to escape to an alternate state of mind to believe scientific fact about resolution and distance.

what he meant was (The retina display will only be noticable if you don't have an iPad 2 to sell) like he still does.

If you have terrible eyesight then this is true. The difference between a retina iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS is easily noticeable even at a foot away.

That doesn't mean you need a retina display of course, but the best way to convince yourself it is not better is by never looking at it in the first place.

To the OP: It is a fairly mediocre deal IMO. I sold mine for $450 with smart cover and dock in perfect condition with boxes 2 weeks ago. With the price drops the iPad 2 32GB will be going for $500, refurbs will be even less than that and still have warranty.

Of course it also depends on your location. In large cities prices will be higher and it is a decent deal.

Yes, someone bought mine a week ago for $450. So $400 is a good deal :D

But two things were different here: 1, the new ipad was not announced a week ago. 2, apple was not offering brand new iPad 2 for 400 dollars.

Just keep in mind that those who supposedly sold their iPad for $___ amount have no proof.

I could easily say I got $600 for my iPad when I sold it to a man at the airport about to board a plane who wanted one but didn't have the time to go to the store/shop.
He was rich and money was not an issue.
No one here can confirm or deny I got said price.

You could get it for much cheaper on Craigslist!!! if you buy from the Apple Store you have to pay extra for the Tax... The $100 dollars off only waivers the Tax!

yeah.... sorry bud. you need glasses. the difference between the 3gs and 4 was unbelievable. There is an enormous difference between the early displays and the retina and is completely visible. Retina display is a dream come try to any videophile or photographer or anyone concerned with clarity.
